THE MBE/DBE/ACDBE/SBE Application Assistance Workshop is intended for those firms interested in seeking Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Aiport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE), and/or Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification. By attending the workshop, you will learn the benefits of certification, the five key requirements for certification, and the four steps in the certification process.
Street-smart contracting is not simply a novel concept, but a small business survival skill. This class is designed to unveil the unwritten rules to every written rule to enable contractors to learn to play the game better than most, or at least better than the other contract party expects. After attending this class, contractors will have a fighting chance to not only survive, but to prosper. Understanding what your contracts really mean is essential, including the variances on projects and the expectations with “as-planned,” “as-contracted” and “as-built” realities that unfold during the construction period. This class will also touch upon the applications of Procore Construction Management Software, an online project/business management solution tool.
