Vanessa Lopez, Secretary & Co-Founder
Vanessa Lopez hold a BS from Polytechnic University of Nicaragua (UPOLI) in Marketing and Sales Administration. In 2005 the World Education Service in New York City granted an equivalent GPA of 3.67 affirming her Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing and Sales Administration. In 2010 she graduated as Certified Financial Accountant from Anne Arundel County Community College and is currently a certified public accountant candidate with the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy.
She is currently serving as Treasurer on the Executive Board of Directors for the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer-run membership based organization that represents the 54,000+ Hispanic businesses in the region and as an accountant for The Barbour Group where she provides high end client support with regard to general budgeting principles and practices and issues related to accounts receivable and payable, bank lines of credit, depreciation, reconciliation of retained earnings, and work in progress evaluation as it relates to percentage of completion accounting.
With Vanessa’s accounting experience in servicing for-profit and non-profit industries, her knowledge base gives her an edge in driving financial prosperity and growth for her clients. While her construction accounting career began over ten years ago, she also amassed lending and financial analysis expertise working with Net Bank and became certified as a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor by Intuit Quickbooks Corporation.
